CHC – Centro Histórico-Cultural Santa Casa

METROPOLITAN CATHEDRAL

Hours of Operation: 09:00–12:00, 13:00–19:00

The Metropolitan Cathedral, or Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Madre de Deus in Porto Alegre, was designed by the Italian architect João Battista Giovenale, with a style inspired by the Italian Renaissance. The work began in August 1921 and was only concluded in August 1986.

RIO GRANDE DO SUL MEMORIAL

The Rio Grande do Sul Memorial is a center for the preservation and dissemination of Rio Grande's history and culture. It was inaugurated in June 2000 and brings together maps, various objects, engravings, photos, books and iconographic images related to the State. The Colunas Personagens lobby and the Time Line invite the public to delve into the cultural universe of Rio Grande do Sul and get to know relevant episodes and characters from the history of Rio Grande do Sul. The building also houses the Postal Museum and a Philatelic Agency.

RIO GRANDE DO SUL ART MUSEUM

The Museu de Arte do Rio Grande do Sul (MARGS) is dedicated to the history of art and artistic memory, as well as to manifestations, languages, investigations, research and contemporary productions in the visual arts.

NEW EDGE OF GUAIBA

BOATING WHARF

The traditional spaces of Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana are dedicated to cinema, music, visual arts, dance, theater, literature and holding workshops and events related to culture.

The city tour Centro Histórico Linha Turismo Porto Alegre is a service offered by the city of Porto Alegre and offers two different routes. The buses of the Porto Alegre Turismo Line are specially prepared for panoramic tours. It has 2 floors, 4 meters high, with the second floor open, where tourists see the sights from a higher angle and more freely.

A true icon of Porto Alegre, the Cisne Branco boat is a reference in river tourism, entertainment and floating leisure in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. The Cisne Branco boarding point is at Warehouse B3 of the Porto Alegre Pier (Avenida Mauá 1050), close to the Public Market. In addition to the regular tours offered, Cisne Branco is considered a Floating Cultural Space for its regularly developed cultural activities.

GRÊMIO ARENA

 Arena do Grêmio is a multipurpose stadium located in the city of Porto Alegre, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It is the current Grêmio stadium and Grêmio's third home throughout its history, replacing the Monumental Olympic Stadium. It opened on December 8, 2012

RIVER BEACH STADIUM

A giant built over water, the José Pinheiro Borba stadium, better known as Beira-Rio, is a multipurpose structure, with a capacity of 50,842 seats. It is considered the sixth most beautiful stadium in the world.

Currently, the Porto Alegre Botanical Garden has a collection of 653 tree species with about 3,000 specimens, plus a collection of potted plants, with 3,000 specimens, a Germplasm Bank and a Seed Bank, for the preservation of rare or threatened species. and with the objective of repopulating depredated areas.

REDEMPTION PARK

One of the most beautiful parks in Porto Alegre is Farroupilha Park, known as Redenção. It is one of the most frequented parks by people from Porto Alegre and also by tourists and on weekends it has events, promotional actions and several entertainment options. For those who like to simply contemplate nature, this is the best option.

WINDMILLS PARK

Located in the Moinhos de Vento neighborhood, the famous Parcão, as it is called, brings together families on weekends and mainly practitioners of physical activities. Very nice for a walk outdoors.

Praça BarraCadabra is the new leisure space at BarraShoppingSul. A unique place for children to have fun with innovative toys.

FIRE JUMP

Fire Jump is a park with trampolines of different sizes and shapes, aimed at children of all ages (under 3 years old only accompanied by a responsible person), which stimulates reasoning and promotes the practice of physical exercises.
